September 29-30, 2023 – XVI International Scientific Conference “Natural conditions, resources, history and culture of Western Mongolia and consolidated regions”
We are inviting you to take part in the XVI International Scientific Conference “Natural conditions, resources, history and culture of Western Mongolia and consolidated regions”, organized by the Khovd branch of National University of Mongolia and National Research Tomsk State University.
The conference provides an exchange of views on topical issues of the study of Western Mongolia and its neighboring regions, and determining the prospects of further activity and their relationship to modern scientific and technical progress.
Date and Venue:
September 29-30, 2023
The conference is to be held at Khovd branch of National University of Mongolia both in cabinet and online formats.
Basic Sections of the Conference:
- Natural conditions, resources and usage
- Ecosystem and biodiversity conservation
- The history of the people of the region and issues of archeology and ethnography
- Education issues
- Language and culture of the peoples of the region
- Socio-economic development of the region
- Cooperation of the institutions in the region
Conference working languages: English, Russian, and Mongolian
Publication languages: English and Russian. It is planned to publish materials electronically with inclusion in the RSCI database.

Deadline: Materials and the completed application are sent by the participants to the email address khovdconf@num.edu.mn until August 10, 2023.
The registration fee - $40 for foreign participants. It includes organizational costs, costs of publication and partially - on excursion for the 2nd day. Expenses for transportation, accommodation and food are paid by the conference participants themselves.
