Geologists will discuss the world potential of mineral resources
The Eighth All-Russian Petrographic Conference has opened at the Faculty of Geology and Geography, with international participation. Leading researchers from Russia, Canada, Spain, and the USA will discuss the study of magma in the earth's crust and mineral resources, their age and capacity.
— Among the sciences developed at the University, a significant role is played by the earth sciences – said Ivan Ivonin, Vice-Rector for Academic Research. – Our advantage is that TSU is located in vast Siberia, where there are interesting geological formations. Therefore, our scientists have engaged in the study of crystals, minerals, the interaction of elements in the crust, and much else. All it is relevant to the scientific and applied point of view.
