Professional Training for Pre-school Educators at Educational Centre “Sirius”
Centre for Cognitive and Interdisciplinary Studies (Sirius) and Centre for Programme Evaluation and Knowledge Mobilization in Childhood Development (TSU) organized a professional development training programme for pre-school educators “Early Childhood Development”. The training took place at Sirius on 12-14 April 2018.
Professor Yulia Kovas and Professor Michel Boivin presented lectures on longitudinal studies of early childhood development and educational implications, led discussions and round tables focusing on current research directions in early childhood development, key findings and policy implications, school readiness, numeracy and language development. Kindergarten educationalists collaborating with the Centre for Programme Evaluation and Knowledge Mobilization in Childhood Development (TSU) shared their expertise in the on-going research collaboration and presented practical cases of a developmental programme implementation and evaluation.
