Areas of Research

  • Development of digital modelling techniques and algorithms of combining them with the traditional numerical methods of continuum mechanics to carry out multi-level dynamic analysis of the functioning mode of critical elements and construction structures, taking into account the processes of degradation and destruction of the materials of these elements on the meso- and microscopic structural levels;
  • Dynamic modelling of friction and wear in the movable joints of structural elements at different scale levels, from nano- to macroscopic, to identify the impact of the relationship of localized frictional processes and the mode of functioning of individual parts of a construction and construction as a whole;
  • Construction of dynamic mechanical models of engineered materials and their use for the analysis of the dynamics of deformation and degradation of critical element materials and construction structures under intensive dynamic effects;
  • Study of the conditions and dynamics of the development of cracks in elastic-brittle and elastic-plastic materials under external influences of varying intensity;
  • Development of a promising method for the reduction of dimensions in the dynamic simulation tasks for a multiplier effect of applied computational methods when conducting multi-level dynamic analysis of structure operation modes and of simultaneous degradation of individual elements or compounds.
