Areas of Research

  • Regularities and mechanisms of crystal lattice deformation and reorientation in various conditions of intense external influences;
  • Features of non-equilibrium microstructure and mechanical properties of nanostructured metallic materials produced by severe plastic deformation;
  • Development and research of a new class of superhard nanocomposite coatings obtained by magnetron and vacuum-arc synthesis;
  • Development of methods of increasing heat resistance and radiation resistance of ferritic-martensitic steels and low-activated vanadium alloys as promising materials for new generations of nuclear reactors.
