Areas of Research
The laboratory carries out fundamental and applied research in the following areas:
- organic synthesis (production of glyoxylic acid and its derivatives, cyclic diesters of lactic and glycolic acid);
- polymer chemistry (synthesis of biodegradable polymers based on lactide and glycolide, polyglyoxylates, and others);
- obtaining of composite materials based on biodegradable polymers and hydroxyapatite;
- ion implantation of polymer materials.
